Job Summary:
The experienced and dynamic Senior Project Manager will lead our Project Management Office (PMO) team and oversee the execution of complex low-voltage systems projects, including but not limited to, Interactive Flat Panel Display, Security, Data Cabling, Access control, IP Video Surveillance, and Audio-Visual. As the PMO Lead, you will be responsible for the strategic direction, leadership, and execution of the PMO processes, ensuring the successful delivery of projects on time, within budget, and in alignment with company objectives. The Senior Project Manager will be a seasoned project management professional with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of the low-voltage systems industry.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- PMO Leadership and Strategy:
- Lead and develop the PMO team, providing mentorship, guidance, and oversight to ensure consistent application of project management standards, processes, and best practices across all projects.
- Establish, implement, and continuously improve project management methodologies and processes within the PMO to ensure high-quality project delivery.
- Align PMO objectives with the organization’s overall strategic goals, ensuring projects contribute to the company’s growth and success.
- Project Oversight and Execution:
- Oversee the management of multiple, low-voltage systems projects concurrently, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Provide hands-on leadership in complex projects, ensuring appropriate resource allocation, budget management, risk mitigation, and schedule adherence.
- Establish clear project plans, timelines, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders, clients, and internal teams.
- Ensure all project teams are well-coordinated and manage any challenges that may arise to minimize project disruptions.
- Team Development and Collaboration:
- Lead a team of project managers and support staff, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing to optimize project performance.
- Act as a mentor and coach to junior project managers, helping them grow in their careers and develop professionally.
- Build strong relationships with internal teams (sales, engineering, operations, design, and field staff) and external stakeholders (clients, vendors, contractors) to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Client Relationship and Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for high-priority projects, working directly with key clients to understand their needs, manage expectations, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Facilitate regular communication and status updates with stakeholders, providing timely and transparent reporting on project progress, risks, and milestones.
- Proactively identify potential risks and project delays and collaborate with teams to develop and implement corrective actions.
- Project Risk and Quality Management:
- Identify potential project risks early, develop risk mitigation strategies, and continuously monitor and manage project risks throughout the lifecycle.
- Ensure that all projects adhere to relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations, including safety protocols and quality control.
- Coordinate quality assurance reviews and ensure that all systems are thoroughly tested to meet client specifications before handover.
- Financial Management and Budget Control:
- Manage project budgets, ensuring adherence to financial constraints while identifying and executing cost-saving opportunities.
- Track project expenses, approvals, and invoicing, ensuring that the financial aspects of projects are managed accurately and efficiently.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare and deliver regular reports on project status, budget, timelines, and issues to senior management, providing recommendations for course corrections when necessary.
- Ensure that all project documentation, including contracts, change orders, schedules, and risk logs, are maintained accurately and up to date.
- Maintain a comprehensive archive of completed projects, lessons learned, and best practices to improve future project delivery.
- Performing other duties as assigned.

- Expertise in the design, installation, and commissioning of low-voltage systems and knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations (e.g., NEC, NFPA).
- Proficient in project management software (e.g., SmartSheet, Microsoft Project, Procore, or similar) and tools for tracking, reporting, and managing project performance.
Education and Experience:
- 5-7 years of project management experience in the low-voltage systems industry, with at least 1 year in a leadership or management role overseeing a PMO.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale, multi-discipline low-voltage systems projects (e.g., security, fire alarms, access control, data cabling, audio-visual).
- Strong background in project management processes, risk management, and quality control.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to travel to project sites and participate in on-site inspections and meetings.
- Ability to work in both office and field environments, including construction sites, and engage with teams remotely as needed.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift to 25 pounds at times.
